The QVAS CBC covers 15 miles in diameter, which covers all or a portion of 12 different towns (see the photo below). We count every individual bird seen and heard from within the boundaries, listed by species. 

If you live in or are willing to travel to our circle, to help us count birds for the day, let us know! We have areas that need to be filled. Participants can take on their own territory or go with a group. You can count birds all day or for as little time as you wish. If you live in the circle and have feeders in your yard, you can also do a feeder/yard count.  

This is the 125th year for the CBC, sponsored by the National Audubon Society, which was started with just 25 count circles. It has grown to hundreds of circles across the world. Data from CBCs are used for numerous organizations to track species changes. 

This will be the 54th CBC for QVAS, help us make it a great year!
